There has been a tremendous amount of activity at the gallery over the past few weeks, particularly in preparation for our next exhibition, Unterspiel. For that reason, it’s taken a little longer than expected to get these pictures loaded. Hopefully, in the time that has passed, readers of this blog [you!] who attended the symposium will have had a chance to reflect on the various issues and ideas presented. We welcome your comments and captions as accompaniment to these pictures, and the symposium itself!

who is the old guy?
Hi Anon =-)
The old guy? Ummm... do you mean the man present in the first image? That's Dr. Louis Kaplan, Director of the Institute of Communication and Culture and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto at Mississauga. He provided opening remarks to get the symposium on a roll =-)
Darn, I had no idea this was being organized. I would have loved to attend.
What, exactly, did the speakers talk about? What were the topics and themes that came out of this symposium, AND is there any publication/posting of the notes or essays or anything of the sort?
Hey Marty-pants!
Sorry you didn't get a chance to attend this event, but if you'd like to view the presentations online, you can find them here:
http://utm.kmdi.utoronto.ca/website_archived.aspx?c=1&dir=35.
They've been saved into 3 files for easier download and access. Enjoy!
