Mark Lewis wins 2007 Gershon Iskowitz Prize

Canadian Mark Lewis, often described as a film artist rather than a filmmaker because of his studied use of motion-picture techniques in his landscape and portrait work, has been awarded the 2007 Gershon Iskowitz Prize by the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Gershon Iskowitz Foundation.
In addition to receiving the $25,000 prize, the London-based artists's work will be exhibited at the AGO next year.
Mark Lewis's video installation Children’s Games, Heygate Estate, 2002 is currently being shown at the Blackwood Gallery as part of the Projections exhibition which runs till June 17th.
